Motor Cyclist in cold blood after being shot dead by LDC along Elgin Street
By Emma Kulishizhi
Kampala, Uganda (RTN) - Boda-boda cyclist failed to survive the rigors of the lock down after a Local Defense Unit (LDU) personal ended his life along Elgin Street, near Byansi Pharmacy in Masaka district at about 1:10 pm.
The cyclist had the fubar moment following a vortex of a pregnant woman whom he offered a lift to the labor facility, and hardly had the LDU seen the duo sitting on a motorcycle departing the facility, than he opened fire killing the man on spot and injuring the expectant mother.
However, reports from police and the army indicate that the LDU personnel identified as Robert Muyaga shot dead Francis Musasizi , the LC1 chairman for Rutovu B cell, Kigenyi parish, Mugango subcounty in Lwengo district and Wife Jackline Nagasha after he suspected the LC1 chairman of having a love affair with her.
The murderer, according an eye witness Namubiru Maurine, the LDU fled the
scene while shooting in air but was later found hiding in the hotel where he was also shot dead by security officers after he resisted arrest.
This has spurred an emotional roller coaster among Ugandans who often accuse LDU offers of punishing Ugandans with unusual rigor.
President Museveni ban Bodabodas from carrying passengers until the ongoing lockdown is lifted.
This comes when Ugandans have so far spent forty seven days under lock down, which banned, with more 11 days.
The lockdown was initially set to run for fourteen days until April 14, 2020. However, it was extended for another 21 days until May 5, 2020. While some businesses, including hardware shops, wholesalers, and restaurants were allowed to resume after May 5th, the other measures including the ban on Boda bodas remain in force for 14 days until May 19, 2020.
