Kampala, Uganda (RTN)- Following the outbreak of Coronavirus which has affected countries' economies, Uganda has also started testing the bad effects of the pandemic.

People in the country  are largely facing toilsome conditions since the lock-down commenced in March 2020. Those who could sustain feeding their loved ones a healthy meal at least twice a week are no longer in position of doing it, as for the penniless, it makes someone’s blood run cold.

Natives have now turned into scroungers putting all their focus on the relief food that was promised by the government to help out on those who can’t afford feeding their families.

Even those who had received once, are now requesting for more, indeed the situation is appalling, many had gone to villages hoping to find gratifying conditions but the reverse is true.

Those who had stocked some food in their stores are running out of stock, salary earners are also being enormously sacked by their employers.

Medication is now taken as a bed of roses, people can no longer afford paying for slight illnesses such as cough as the prices have also increased all over the pharmacies in Uganda claiming that suppliers also charge them a large sum of money.

Natives are calling upon government to extend help especially basic needs such food in abundance.
