Kampala,Uganda (RTN)- Kasubi Royal Tombs which belongs to Buganda Kingdom and a gazetted UNESCO World Heritage Site was gut down by Fire on Friday.
The Fire brigade struggled to put out a fire at one of the structures, at Kasubi Royal Tombs.
The Rush Time News Reporter who was at the scene says a fire gutted a small hut inside the Kasubi Royal Tombs.

of the fire still unknown but Police Fire Bridge and rescue services
have extinguished a fire that caught and destroyed “Enyumba Y'omuzaana”
at the Kasubi Royal Tombs.
Police say they are investigating what could have caused the fire out break.
The
Kasubi Royal Tombs in Kampala, is the site of the burial grounds for
four Kabakas (Kings of Buganda) and other members of the Baganda Royal
Family.
Kasubi Royal
Tombs is an important spiritual and political site for the Baganda
people, as well as an important example of traditional architecture.
The
site became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 2001, when it was
described as “one of the most remarkable buildings using purely vegetal
materials in the entire region of sub-Saharan Africa”.
1n 2010, unknown fire that razed Kasubi tombs and they have been going under construction since then.
