Uganda retreating in the battle against COVID-19, confirmed cases jump to 203 as 43 new more reported

Kampala,Uganda (RTN) - Uganda which started the battle against COVID-19 with a win seems to be retreating as new cases continue to be reported . The confirmed cases in Uganda now stand at 203 after discovering more than 100 new cases in just less than two weeks.

The Ministry Of Health on Friday confirmed that they had the highest number of COVID-19 positive tests in a day after they reported 43 new cases.
All the new reported cases are coming from truck drivers which Ugandans have always contested  fearing  that the drivers will lead to spread of the disease.

East African heads of state on on Tuesday agreed on a number of conditions concerning handling the COVID-19 outbreak in the community.

Among the issues agreed upon was the development of a harmonized system for certification and sharing of COVID-19 test results.

Since the outbreak of coronavirus, Uganda has so far confirmed 203 case , 63 recoveries with no death reported.
