Kampala, Uganda (RTN)- It is often presumed that to be successful, one must have an education. This is what surprisingly goes on in the minds of many people all over the African continent.
However, the issue of success should never be entirely attributed to education because there are people who have never received an “education” that one would consider education but they are successful.
Don’t quote me wrongly, by this I don’t mean to say that one should refrain from education. Rather am trying to undo the stereotype in question. Parents should educate their children knowing that their success is not only defined by how much they have gained in terms of academic knowledge or accumulation of academic papers but also by other factors.
These include one’s general attitude towards work, useful connections, self-discipline and ones ability to try some things. Lastly, one must be persevering because Victory belongs to the persevering.
Speaking of attitude towards work, the only word that is equal to 100% is attitude. It’s also true that your attitude determines your altitude. So it justifies the fact that having a positive or right attitude towards work is one of the keys to success. Additionally, it’s people with powerful connections especially to successful people, that end up adapting to success. More also, self-disciplined people, those who know what to do, how and when that end up becoming successful. As if that’s not enough, the persevering reaps the fruit of success.
These therefore zeros down to one thing, that education is only a key holder but not the key to success. The keys to success are as described above. One can only wonder what can happen to the keys without a holder. It’s entirely one’s choice to have a holder to hold one’s keys, but having a key holder without keys is useless. The great question of the day remains, do you have the keys to success or the key holder without keys. Think about it.
